Trip Steels 23:45 01.05.2011

Trip steels represent a new , exciting materila being developed.Their microstructure consists of a continuous ferrite matrix and a dispersion of a harder second phase(martensite and/ or bainite). In addition . the microstructure consists of retained austenite.Trip steels exhibit better ductlilty and formability at a given strength level because of the transformation of retained austenite to martensite during plastic deformation.Transformation induced plasticity(TRIP) steels are useful for more complex shapes.

Kohonen Network 23:58 01:05.2011

Kohonen network is a self-organizing map.Such a network can learn to detect regularities and correlations in their input and adapt their future responses to that input accordingly. The network parameters are adapted by a learning procedure based on input patterns only(unsupervised learning).Contrary to the standrd supervised learning methods , the unsupervised ones us input signals to exract knowledge from data.During learnin , there is no feedback to the environment or the investigated process. Therefore, neurons and weghted connections should have a certain level of self-organization.Moreover, unsupervised learning is only usefull and effective when there is a redundancy of learning patterns.Input and neurons in the competitive layer are connected entirely.Furthermore , the concurrent layer is the network output which generates the response of the kohenen network.

Electrolytic Grinding 00:19 02.05.2011

Electrolytic Girinding

Wheel Face

Electrolytic grinding is a combination of the electrochemical machinig and conventional grinding.A rotating abrasive wheel which s a metal-bonded diamond wheel is used as tool electrode. The wheel is a good conductor of electricity. The electrolyte is fed between the wheel and the work surface in the direction of the wheel rotation. The electrolyte is fed at the wheel periphery and is carried past the work surface by the action of work rotation.A constant gap is maintained between the wheel and the work surface.
