Accuracy:Accuracy is an indication of how close the measured dimension is to the true value for that dimension. Note that accuracy and precision are not the same thing. A device can be highly precise but very inaccurate. In other words, it can consistently give the same wrong measurement.(McGraw-Hill Machining and Metalworking Handbook-3rd Edition-McGraw Hill-Ronald A. Walsh-Chapter 1-P.10)
Stress relieving: A process of reducing residual stresses in a metal part by heating the part to a suitable temperature and holding this temperature for a sufficient time. This process is applied to relieve stresses induced by casting, quenching, normalizing, machining, cold working (i.e., springs), or welding.(McGraw-Hill Machining and Metalworking Handbook-3rd Edition-McGraw Hill-Ronald A. Walsh-Chapter 4-P.102)
Yield strength:The stress at which a material exhibits a specified limited deviation from proportionality of stress to strain. In most steels, there is a proportionality between the amount of stress that produces a certain amount of strain. This phenomenon is known as Hooke's law. When a material passes its yield point, a lesser amount of stress produces a greater amount of strain until the ultimate strength point is reached, where the material breaks.(McGraw-Hill Machining and Metalworking Handbook-3rd Edition-McGraw Hill-Ronald A. Walsh-Chapter 4-P.102)
