Product Integrity
Product integrity means that the product has more than ajust a basic functionality or performance character; it has additional characteristics which complement the customers' values and lifestyles. Industrial products match the existing work flows and production systems of the customer. Product integrity has two components: internal integrity and external integrity. Internal integrity refers to the unity between a product's function and its construction-the parts fit smoothly, the components match well, and the product works well, and the layout maximizes the available space. From an organizational viewpoint, product integrity means that a focus has been achieved through interdisciplinary teams working with customers and suppliers. External integrity refers to the unity between the product's performance and the customers' expectations. (Project Management, 5th Edition, Cleland&Ireland, p.454)

Plasticizer
A plasticizer is a substance, which is incorporated into a plastic or a coating to increase flexibility, workability or distensibility. This is achieved by loosening the stength of intermolecular forces resulting in a higher flexibility of macromolecules or segments of macromolecules (Brownian motion). A plasticizer thus may reduce the melt viscosity and lower the temperature of the second-order-transition or glass transition temperature, Tg, of the product. Plasticizers are inert, organic sustances with low vapour pressures, predominantly esters. (The Handbook of Environmental Chemistry, Volume 2, Eyerer & Weller & Hübner, p120)

Turret Press
An alternative to the use of dedicated dies for the manufacture of sheet metal parts is the numerically controlled turret press. This is a machine, which contains punches and matching dies in two rotary magazines or turrets. Depending upon the machine size, turrets may contain as many as 72 different dies for a variety of punching operations.
The lower turret rests in the center of the press bed, the surface of ehich is covered with steel balls that freely rotate in spherical sockets and that project just above the bed surface. For this reason the press bed is sometimes referref to as a ball table. A large metal sheet placed onto the press bed can thus slide easily to different positions between the two turret faces. This sliding is accomplished by gripping an edge of the sheet in two clamps attached to linear (X,Y) slideways. The slideways are under numerical control, which allows precise positioning of the sheet under the active punch in the machine turret. The turret is also contolled numerically so that while the sheet is moving to the next punching position, the turrets can be rotated to bring the desired punch and die into play. Metal Sawing
The sawing of metal is one of the primary processes in the metal working industry, one in which chips are created bu a succession of small teeth, arranged in a line of a saw blade. The forces acting on the tool and material can be complex and are not as well researched and documented, for example, as in the turning process. Traditionally, sawing has been practiced as the last step in stores, but the math reveals that a far more productive approach is to view sawing as the first stage in manufacture. A quality modern metal saw is capable of fast, close tolerance cuts and good repeatability, and the sawing process itself is reliable and predictable. (Metal Shaping Processes, Boljanovic, p359)
