Level Strategy:
While planning production over a period of a year, it becomes necessary to deal with fluctuation in demand month to month. One approach to planning is to change production output to match sales. In level strategy, output is kept constant, with buildup of inventory when demand is low and inventory depletions when demand is greater than the production output. Constant production output incurs inventory holding and backorder costs while a chase strategy incurs costs associated with changes in output.

Hydraulic Cements:
Hydraulic Cement is a cement that sets and hardens by chemical interaction with water and that is capable of diong so under water. The different types of cement have different oxide limitations because the composition of the cement affects the resulting properties of concrete. Manufacturer must supply in writing all relevant iformation about the airentraining and processing additions used in proecessing.

Vacuum Insulation Panel:
Vacuum Insulation systems have long been used for cryogenic applications. These systems have historically consisted of multi-layer evacuated jackets with active vacuum systems. In early1990s, sealed evacuated panles became commercially available. These panels were filled with either fiberglass or silica powder and had either metal or plastic barriers. An excellent description of these insulation panels, the importance of each component and the physics of the aging phenomena are given. The continuing design evolution includes open-celled foam and advanced powder fillers, specially multi-layer films and the inclusion of new adsorbent systems. In order to help potential users understand the performance of these panels, a task group was formed in 1995 to create an ASTM material specification, which has now been published as ASTM STandard Specification for Vacuum Insulation Panels. DUe to the complexity of this non-homogenous insulation form, researchers and panel manufacturers developed several evaluation methods. The task group initiated efforts to systematically compare the results of these differing approaches.

TRIZ:
TRIZ is a philosophy, a process and a series of tools based primarily on the concept of resolving contradictions. ENgineering Contradictions are the crux of many issues seen to date where copromise or trade-off is needed to balance between an improving versus a worsening characteristic. This is what's happening in current manufacturing enviroments and we probably are able to live witht it for now: but as thechnology advances and equipment are being push harder, the equipment will break or deteriorate further. The manufacturing enviroment encompasses any kind of industry which uses equiment or tools in their manufacturing process.
