Microfibril (11:39 24.04)

Microfibril elasticity is important conferring resilence to the low pressure circulatory systems of invertebrates, which do not express elastin. In vertebrates The intrinsic elasticity of microfibrils is likely nessecary to prevent microfibril damage as they must stretch together with elastic fibers due to their close association in all elastic tissues.

Contact Adhesive (11:48 24.04)

In countries in high standart mechanization, contact adhesives based on polychloroprene rubber for wood work are used only for on-side repair and for special purposes e.g., for gluing plastic sheets or veneers onto rounded substrates.

Peel Test (11:55 24.04)

Peel tests is the most common method for detemining of relative adhesion of sealent joint. Most peel test are conducted using constant peel speed and measuring the peeling force.

Wedge Test (12:04 24.04)

Wedge tests are very popular for evaluating adhesive bond durability. This test is very simple to conduct and very cost effective. The wedge test has been used extensively as a screening tool to evaulate several surface pretreatments for titanium adherends.Based on these screening tests two surface treatments, the phenylethynyl trimethyl silane (PS) treatment and the chromic acid anodization (CAA) were chosen for this study.
