Gauge
Gauges are also called as gage. Gage is the isntrument that enables us to make gaging. Gaging determines simlpy whether the part characteristics meets or does not meet the design specifications-whether the part passes or fails inspection. It is usually faster than measuring, but scantinformation is provided about the actual value of the characteristic of interest. (Mikell P.
