Ozan Kovancı - 3rd Week Missing Terms

1. SPT (Shortest Processing Time): A rule that gives the highest priority to the job with the shortest processing time. This rule results in the lowest mean completion time (that is, avarage manufacturing lead time) and consequently the lowest work-in-process inventory.

7. Jikoda: It refers to a production problem warning system consisting of a battery of yellow and red lights called andon. A yellow light indicates a minor problem or a slight delay, whereas a red light is indicative of serious problems such as production or assembly line stoppage.
