5-) Push System: 

New & Better

In traditional production environments, a “push system” is used: work is pushed to the next station as it is completed without considering whether the next station is ready to take the parts from the previous station. Consequently, work may pile up at the work stations that fall behind schedule.

In traditional manufacturing, the parts are made in batches, placed in inventory, and used whenever necessary. This approach is known as a push system, meaning that parts are made according to a schedule and are placed in inventory to be used whenever they are needed.
