Production Structure Tree: ( assembly method)
New:
Figure is a product structure tree of a core
enterprise in the supply chain. Figure describes the parts and component needed
in the assembly relationship. The necessary components use lean production ,if
lean production cannot satisfy certain constrains we should consider to use
agile operation.
Each raw material or part, components and final
product is as node. We can see 16 nodes.(Pawlewski P. ,Trends in practical applications of agents and multiagent systems, p.211)

Information
Analysis(technology)
Old:
At this stage all the information collected should be analyzed to gain greater insight about the proposed product or opportunity. The result of this analysis will be the preparation of a "needs" list that represents a comprehensive statement structured to state just what should be designed to satisfy the user need. Three main techniques for information analysis can be used'''^: parametric analysis, needs analysis, and matrix analysis.

The visual information that includes still
images, graphics, video, or moving images etc. Contribute to the major part
of the information in our sensory world.
I would attempt to provide glimpses of the diverse areas of visual information
analysis techniques. The techniques releated to several vision tasks, like
image enhancement, restoration, segmentation etc. have been briefly reviewed here.Texture
shape and color provide lot of information about the object and their surfaces.

Information Interpretation(product development
process)
Old(better)
At this step, the information is
translated into a detailed list of customer/market requirements that must be
satisfied by a product. That is, the information gathered is interpreted into
customer/market needs. A list of product specifications is prepared that guides
the product development process. Although this list is not a rigid item and can
be changed and refined when necessary, it is important to maintain the basic
structure of the specifications in order not to violate customer needs.

Manufacturing, Emad Abouel Nasr, Ph.D. Ali K. Kamrani,
Ph.D., p10)
New:
Shared interpretation
is a process of giving meaning to information. It refers to the conceptual use
of information which appears to to be function of existing knowledge
structures.
In other
words, they help interpret incoming stimuli and simplify the environment and
make observation meaningfull

Process Plant Collection(production process)
Old:
Process manufacturers also collect
performance data, but they are not concerned with individual products. Instead
they collect performance data of their plant and process; this often provides a
measure of the quality of the product being produced.
Process manufacturers are particularly interested in the following parameters : temprature, pressure, weights and flow rates. Weights are for interest because they report the quantities that have been mixed to meet the the requirements of a particular recipe, whether this is the chemicals blending into an oil, the balance of wood and recycled pulps feeding a paper-making machine or the flour , oil, fruits, that are baked on a food production line. The tempratures and pressures need monitoring as the manufacture takes place.
The traditional means of recording such parameters has been via pen recorders operating on strip charts in which the chart is very slowly advanced beneath pen. the modern way of collection this information and data is via supervisory control and data acquisition systems. SCADA systems provide supervisory control, not online closed-loop control.

The
objective of production process is to produce the right goods of the right
quality and at the right price in order to generate a financial profit from th
capital investment, but the plant layout fundemantally affects this objective.
The essential
requirement for any design exercise is a thorough understanding of the working
medium. For layouts this means collecting sufficient data to describe those
characteristics of the company which affect the layout.data collection is time
consuming and difficult and it requires the contribution of factory personnel
from departments.

The System Enabler: ( technology)
Old:
The function of the system enabler is to provide
universal high level services of data management, data communication and data
representation, for the CIMS applications built on it. The abstract/transition
module is used for integrating existing application and relevant data into the
platform of system enabler. The system enabler layer makes the upper
applications is independent of the lower supporting environment, so that the
upper applications possesses an excellent openness and portability. The major
advantages to adopt system enabler is as follows:
(1) The data sharing
and application integrating in CIMS can be effectively implemented by means of
the system enabler layer.
(2) The developing and
running of the upper applications can be supported by the uniform access to
system resources and shared resources provided by the system enabler.
(3) The life circle of
the application development can be greatly reduced and the development
efficiency can be greatly increased and the information and function
integration of CIMS can be well implemented, because the system enabler layer
can not only provide shared data management, data comniunication and data
representation service but also support various application services. (Li Gui, Yin Chaowan, Zheng Huaiyuan, 1997 IEEE International Conference on
Intelligent Processing Systems, Issue Date 28-31 Oct. 1997, page 834)

The
software tools should permit user defined events, user defined messages but the
same time also give support to state automata implementation.
In a cell
control system there is often need for integration with other systems, e.g.
planning, statistical monitoring, etc. It is therefore very important to have a
system that is open for integration. A stuation where integration might become
necessary is when the control logic is very complex and therefore is somewhat
difficult to implement using only the programming language specific for the
software tool. Preferable in such situations,is an application enabler that
allows for the integration of the control logic written in the enabler’s rather
primivite code with an algorithm written in a more advanced language for
example C++.
