2)Quality Costs (Production Cost)
Quality Costs(old)
There is no old answer.
Quality Costs(new)
The trade-off between product quality on one side and
process adjustment costs on the other should be accounted for by the process
settings, as it is unreasonable to aim at the best quality without bearing the
cost factor in mind. The problem is a simple fact of the market. All customers
demand a product to be as close as possible to its nominal specifications,
while manufacturers seek the largest possible tolerance to reduce the
production costs. Cost of quality meausurement was thus driven by the need in
industry for proper consideration of quality related costs in financial balance
sheets.
